Meet Kevin

Kevin Lawson is deeply committed to his community. In 1989, right out of high school, he moved from Sparks, Nevada, to Central California and started his career as a firefighter. Kevin is also a fully-sworn retired peace officer. Kevin eventually became a CAL FIRE Deputy Fire Chief and a college instructor who trained, supervised, and mentored several hundred employees throughout San Diego County.

 

During those years, he was inspired by his wife, Leslie, who had her own real estate firm. When Kevin retired after a 32-year career with the fire department, he started a second one working with his wife. In addition to the knowledge she imparted, Kevin has the prime attribute of a real estate professional: a passionate devotion to supporting people as they reach significant life decisions. This is a great comfort and reassurance for his clients, many of whom are first responders and military personnel. Kevin spent decades helping people through traumatic situations, which translates to remarkable trust; clients know they can depend on Kevin.

 

His years as a firefighter required mechanical skills and a thorough understanding of home construction that Kevin shares with buyers, sellers, and investors to provide a better grasp of a property’s structural elements. It’s a continuation of what he has always loved to do —  serve his clients and community.

 

Kevin’s leisure activities keep him busy outdoors: fishing, camping, hunting, skiing, and boating. However, his desire to give back also is present during his time off, when he volunteers at community events and safety fairs and mentors aspiring first responders. Already following in his footsteps are Kevin and Leslie’s two children — their son, a firefighter, and their daughter, a registered nurse.
